Who We Are
Grey Matters is a Neuroscience outreach program founded by undergraduates the University of Washington. Here at Johns Hopkins we brought the organization to our campus to continue their goal of bringing neuroscience to everyone.
We are committed to providing free papers that preserve the caliber of scientific research and are widely available in order to dismantle these obstacles. Students from a variety of academic backgrounds and grade levels make up our team, and we place a special emphasis on producing aesthetically pleasing work that humanizes the subject matter. We are able to teach undergraduates, create a sense of community, and produce an excellent publication with the aid of our collaborative, interdisciplinary methodology.
Mission and Goals
Through cooperative publications, Grey Matters hopes to increase public awareness of neuroscience, encourage participation in research, and support the growth of competent science communicators. The organization sees itself as a diversified setting that fosters students’ engagement with scientific literature, clear communication of their discoveries, and development of interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Grey Matters incorporates a variety of academic fields into its publications, such as philosophy, English, and art and design. This interdisciplinary method helps students develop professional abilities that are useful in science and in their respective areas, while also enabling the construction of a distinctive and captivating journal. The publication has distinguished itself by fusing artistic interpretations of scientific principles with creative writing, with the goal of igniting readers’ curiosity about neuroscience.
Accessibility
